Class Clown
Miss Eddy asks Chimp and Benny to stay after class to talk about their report.
Lucas and Maddie have also stayed after class to speak to Miss Eddy.
Miss Eddy asks Maddie and Lucas how their report got so wrinkled. The details come out that Chimp messed up their class project.
Miss Eddy tries to flatten out the wrinkled pages. “I wonder if these wrinkles can be smoothed out?”
Lucas answers her. “My Dad thinks we can press the wrinkled papers between the pages of a large book overnight. Then copy the pages at a copy center.”
Miss Eddy thinks that’s a good idea.
Then Chimp and Benny come up to talk with Miss Eddy.
Miss Eddy tells the two boys that their class project was not done the way it should have been done.
“You need to pick a favorite topic and write about it,” Miss Eddy says. “Then you also find pictures to show to the class while you’re talking.”
Miss Eddy helps the two boys figure out a topic for their class project. After they talk together, they find out that Chimp likes fruit and Benny likes vegetables.
Now the two boys will need to work over the weekend on a new project. And write a report called “Growing Fruits and Vegetables.”
Miss Eddy writes two notes for Benny and Chimp to take home about having to work on their class report over the weekend.
Before Chimp can leave, Miss Eddy gives him a second note about how he wrinkled Lucas and Maddie’s report by not being careful.
“I didn’t mean to,” Chimp tells Miss Eddy. “I just wanted to see it.”
“Uh, oh,” Chimp thinks to himself, now that he’s in trouble. “Maybe being class clown isn’t so much fun after all!”
