Class Clown

Finally, Chimp and Benny are the only students who haven’t given their report. After seeing the other Kidz’ reports, they are worried that they haven’t written anything to say.

Miss Eddy asks, “Who’s left? Who hasn’t given their report yet?” She calls Benny and Chimp up for their turn. Their report is called “Vegetables”.

The two boys stand in front of the class holding one drawing of a carrot and one drawing of some broccoli. Benny made both drawings, and being nice to his teammate, lets Chimp hold one of them too. The class is very quiet. The two boys don’t know what to say.

Finally, Benny says three words. “I love gardening,” Benny says and stops.

The class waits for more. Then Kicker and Merkeeta giggle at those three words which are Benny and Chimp’s whole report! The rest of the class laughs too.

The KidzAnimals realize that Chimp had been running around and distracting them all week long. Now they see that he hasn’t done any work AT ALL!

Miss Eddy claps her hands for silence and asks Chimp and Benny to please stay after class to speak with her. Chimp looks down and feels bad. “I don’t even like vegetables!” Chimp thinks to himself.

“At least Benny let me hold one of his pictures,” he thinks. “Even though I pushed him.”

Chimp thought it was funny to laugh at Maddie and Lucas. And super funny to push Benny, and then laugh at him when his crayons rolled away. Chimp also thought it was funny to laugh about jumping onto the counter and swinging from the window blinds.

But, now that the class is laughing at Chimp, Chimp doesn’t like it. He doesn’t like it at all! Maybe, being class clown isn’t so much fun after all.
