The Walk to School

Across the street, a little girl cat with braids waits for her school bus.  Her name is Elena. Elena is Punky’s very, very best friend.  They play together most days. Punky waves to her.  Elena waves back.

Two little snails by the curb.

“You’re walking slower than a snail,” Parker says to Punky. It is not easy being a big brother to a little sister who walks slow, pets cats and stops along the way!
