The Magic Spinner

Back in his bedroom and ready for bed, Parker can't stop looking at the Magic Spinner board. Every once in a while, he spins the arrow and watches where it lands. He looks at all the numbers going around it and wonders what each one means.

Of course, he's supposed to be sleeping, but instead he turned his lamp to the lowest setting.

"Parker!" Mom says impatiently from the hallway. "I see light. Please turn your light off RIGHT NOW. Bed time."

"Okay Mom," Parker says and reaches to switch off the lamp. But there's still plenty of moonlight coming in from the window. So, Parker keeps looking at the spinner, and remembering his whole day.

So much happened today, and it was a complete surprise! He pretended to be a ninja, showed all his amazing "find" to the Ito's, got the two scrolls translated, and finally figured out the numbers used on the spinner.

"I can't wait to show all this to Pandish and Rusty," Parker says to himself. "How am I ever going to fall asleep with so much going on?"
