EARLY NINJANIMALS KIDZ WORK - Before the KidzAnimals® project and website were established, Rachel Zuckerman worked on a project called Ninjanimals Kidz. This Bulletin Board shows some of the history from that first Kidz project, which later went on to become KidzAnimals®.

NINJANIMALS PARTNERSHIP FORMED! - September 14, 2007 - The Ninjanimals Partnership is formed between Peter Yim, a graphic designer, and Rachel Zuckerman, a web developer and storyteller, with the goal of creating a wonderful and joyous children's world filled with special children-animal characters, their stories and their adventures.

NINJANIMALS KIDZ WORLD IS BORN! - October 3, 2007 - After extensive discussion - and reviewing goals and interests - a decision is reached between Peter Yim and Rachel Zuckerman, that Rachel will develop a world called Ninjanimals Kidz, which is filled with cute elementary school children-animal characters, and set in a modern suburban setting. Peter will continue developing his original Ninjanimals concept of an Asian-inspired feudal world called Ninjanimals & Ninjanimals Action, filled with fighting and heroic ninja‑animals characters.

CHARACTER & STORY DEVELOPMENT - October 2007 to May 2008 - Many cartoon characters are created and stories written during this nearly “magical” collaborative process.

NINJANIMALS LOGO COMPLETED - November 2007 - The Ninjanimals Kidz Logo and Ninjanimals Action Logo are designed and arted by Peter Yim.

NINJANIMALS PARTNERSHIP DIVIDES - May 31, 2008 - The Ninjanimals Partnership divides into Rachel's Ninjanimals Kidz and Peter's Ninjanimals Action. Now on her own, Rachel completely focuses on developing her Kidz website, characters and stories.

WEBSITE IS LAUNCHED! - June 14, 2008 - After lots and lots of hard work, the first Ninjanimals Kidz website launches!!!

FIRST STORY POSTED! - November 2, 2008 - An amazing Canadian artist and children's illustrator - Hatem Aly (pronounced Ha tem) - has been found to illustrate The Walk to School - the first KidzAnimals’ story. The Read Stories section is available!

NINJANIMALS KIDZ CHARACTERS REDESIGNED - December 2008 to January 2009 - The original adorable Kidz characters have been redesigned by Hatem Aly, and they look FANTASTIC! These are the New  KIDZ!!!

KUNG FU & KARATE KIDZ ARE CREATED - March 26, 2011 - The Martial Arts Kidz Galleries are now ready for viewing! These two galleries show the boys and the girls wearing their martial arts uniforms -- posing and sparring -- and looking GREAT! Check them out!.

ADDITIONAL CHARACTER WORK - 2009 to 2011 - Six additional characters were created to go along with the stories. Pammie and Tammie were needed for “Class Project” as Chimp's older twin sisters. Tiki became the little turtle sister in “The Story of Bixie and Tiki”. Cooper was added as the little brother in “Run Your Own Race”. Wolfie and Little Leo joined their friends at the little Kidz playground. The original 20 Kidz characters now becomes a character set of 26!

WHY 26 CHARACTERS? - Someone asked me why there are 13 girl characters and 13 boy characters. When the Ninjanimals partnership divided - Rachel had 20 cartoon characters. (See the Original Kidz here.) Then Chimp's story, “Class Project” included twin sisters, and Bixie's story, “The Story of Bixie and Tiki” needed little turtle sister, Tiki. Coug's story, “Run Your Own Race” needed little brother Cooper. Then, to balance out the number of boys and girls, two more awesome boys, Wolfie and Little Leo were added. Each character was carefully planned and created, however ending up with 13 boys and 13 girls wasn't part of any plan. Each character is a LUCKY character!

MAJOR CHANGE IN DIRECTION - 2014 to 2017 - Rachel gives the Ninjanimals name back to Peter Yim and leaves the Ninjanimals project. She then searches for a name that better represents her interests in playful, modern, school-age children. Thankfully, she discovers the “KidzAnimals” name and finds that a URL is available!!! The domain www.KidzAnimals.com is purchased. The website is transformed into the current KidzAnimals website and is launched in 2016. The KidzAnimals trademark is successfully registered.
